Educational scope

Seekho Finance India publishes general explanations of banking, tax, GST, investing and public finance. The content is intended to help readers understand a subject and investigate it further. It is not personalised financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and reading the website does not create a professional advisory relationship.

An example cannot account for every reader’s income, residency, liabilities, goals, records or eligibility. Before a filing, borrowing, investment or business decision, check the applicable original material and seek appropriate professional help where needed.

Dates, rules and source material

A guide or news report describes information in a particular context. Rules, rates, product terms and official guidance can change after publication. Read the publication or review date, check the year used in examples and follow the source link to see whether a later notice changes the position.

For public finance, distinguish an announcement from an approved allocation and an allocation from actual spending. For investment news, distinguish a proposal or expectation from a confirmed event. The official-source directory can help you locate primary material.

Calculator results are estimates

Calculators show the result of the inputs and assumptions stated on the tool. They do not verify your eligibility, inspect your financial records or replace an official assessment, lender quotation or investment statement. Rounding, fees, taxes and the timing of payments can cause an actual outcome to differ.

  • The income-tax estimator should be read with its year, regime and income assumptions.
  • The EMI calculator illustrates a repayment scenario; a lender may use different terms or change a floating rate.
  • The SIP calculator uses an assumed return to illustrate a scenario. Its output is not a promised future value.

Use hypothetical figures when exploring a tool. If a result appears incorrect, report the inputs and calculation issue so it can be investigated.

Returns, risk and market reports

A historical return describes a past period. It does not establish the return an investor will receive after buying today. A discussion of a fund, stock, IPO or commodity is not an instruction to buy, sell or hold it. Prices can fall, assumptions can fail and an investor can lose money.

Comparisons need context: the time period, costs, taxes, risk exposure and calculation method can all affect what a figure means. Read the applicable scheme documents, company disclosures or offer documents rather than relying only on a headline or a summary.

External links and commercial content

Links to government portals, regulators, companies and other publishers are provided for context and verification. Those websites control their own content, availability and privacy practices. A link, logo or institution name on this site does not imply an endorsement or official affiliation.

Errors and questions

Accuracy matters, but an educational explanation may still contain an error or omit a condition that is important in a particular case. Please send a correction request with the page URL and supporting source if you spot a problem. The corrections process explains how material changes should be communicated.
